The Criminal Justice System (CJS) is one of the major public services in the country. Across the CJS, agencies such as the police, the Crown Prosecution Service, the courts, prisons and probation work together to deliver criminal justice.
The website sets out the number of offences brought to justice in local areas and nationally over a 12 month period, as compared to the previous 12 months by the Criminal Justice System (CJS).
The brief was to simplify to presentation of 54 area datasets and the national figures for the Offences Brought to Justice data, as well as to provide a simple interface for area selection and presentation. We developed a sigle page application with an enhanced user interaction model for data selection and comparison. The project was extremely well received and distributed across the CJS, being linked to from numerous Intranets and applications for CJS professionals.

To design and develop an interactive application to deliver the Offences Brought To Justice (OBTJ) data. To streamline the interaction model so that it was not an overwhelming stream of figures, and users could be more specific in their selection of data requirements as well as in the overall comparison to national data figures.
