BBC Newsround ‘Votemon’ – application

BBC Newsround Votemon

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is a British public service broadcaster. Its main responsibility is to provide public service broadcasting in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. The BBC is an autonomous public service broadcaster that operates under a Royal Charter and a Licence and Agreement from the Home Secretary.

Newsround is a BBC children’s news programme which was one of the world’s first television news magazines aimed specifically at children aged 6 to 12 years old.

The BBC provided the artwork and illustrations. We were commissioned to tie it all together developing the assets into an interactive Flash application to be embedded into the Newsround website. We scripted all the Flash animations and interactivity which was matrix based to allow the users (6 to 12 year olds) to select either a policy or a party and cross reference views in either direction.
